A House That Needed Some Attention
I recently completed an exterior cleaning project in Hanover, PA, and it was one of those jobs where the difference was easy to see right away. The home had a lot of buildup on the siding, especially on the shaded side of the house where moisture tends to stick around longer. There was algae, dirt, and that dark discoloration that slowly creeps up over time.

The biggest improvement came from soft washing the siding. A lot of people hear “pressure washing” and picture blasting a house with high pressure, but that is not how I clean siding. Soft washing uses the right detergents and low pressure to safely remove algae, mildew, and grime without damaging the surface.
I also cleaned the windows, which helped brighten everything up even more. You would be surprised how much cleaner a house looks once the glass is sparkling and the trim is washed down.
